life - the way we like it

We have set ways in life and I don't think we even realise we have such ways until we see something which we can't get our heads around. Let me explain: different countries have different cultures and do some things in a completely different way to the way we do things, and we find it quite bizzare but infact its perfectly normal to the other country.

Have been thinking about this a lot. I'm studying french at the moment and we are learning about french culture as well as the language side of things, its really fascinating. Also Kana has been with us for a year now, (for those of you who don't know - she's a japanese student who has been studying here for a year now - leaving on wednesday - gonna miss ya kana!) Some of the things she's eaten I find really wierd and erm.. interesting! But to her its completely normal, and thats just so wierd. French names, Japanese names, German names, are all so different to the names we are used to hearing but thats just cause we're accustomed to those names, its the norm to us.

I just think we are living in confined worlds within our own countries. I percieve the world through through the eyes of my countries traditions, anything other than that I consider to be abnormal but its not at all! I think especially with us living in a country which speaks such a wide spread language, we take for granted the fact that there are so many differnt languages in the world - its so fascinating - well to me it is anyway!! It just amazes me that we are all part of the human race, but we are all sooooo different.

Anyway thought I'd share that with you! lol! haven't gone on about anything for a while so yup this is my contribution to you. thankyou for reading my faithful blog followers.

Comments: Lou,

Your thoughts also remind me that we could easily have been born in a completely different part of the world, and had no food, no home, no family, or lived where there's war, famine or all sorts of other things.

We often don't realise it or appreciate it, but how lucky we are!

Stacie Orrico:

I saw him shaking his change in a coffee cup
Asked for a dollar but I told the man to give it up
Said he's hungry i dont think that it's true
I bet my dollar he'd just spend it on booze
I turned my back on him and began to walk away
But then i heard a little voice inside me say
What if it's really true?
What if he's hungry?
What if it's not for him?
Does he have a family?

How'd you get here
How'd you end up on the street
Where did you go wrong
Wonder what I'd do if it were me

Chorus:
A new point of view
A walk in your shoes
I wish I could get inside your head
To see what you see
When you look at me
Cause I could have lived your life instead

Verse 2:
It was 90 degrees in the Summer heat
She was veiled in black all the way down to her feet
This is America doesn't she know
Somebody take her shopping buy her some clothes
She came up to me I didn't understand a word
I was about to leave then another thought occurred
She might be really lost getting frustrated
I should try again to see what she's saying

How'd you get here
How'd you get so far from home
What was it that made you leave
Wonder what I'd do if it were me

Chorus:
A new point of view
A walk in your shoes
I wish I could get inside your head
To see what you see when you look at me
Cause I could have lived your life instead

I wanna see oh see what you see
And I wanna feel oh feel just what you feel

Chorus(2x)

Cuz I could have lived your life instead(2x)

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

I'm coming back to the heart of worship,
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
And it's all about You,
Jesus
